Discover The Best Of Triana | A Unique Seville Food Tour

We LOVE a good food tour. It’s the perfect way to try the best food in a new city! That being said, you must make sure to pick your food tour carefully. Make sure the tour has 3-4 stops, includes alcohol (if you are into that), and is done by a local company, with a local guide! You want to make sure you are getting your money's worth and have a guide, who not only takes you to the hidden gems, but also tells you about the history of the city you are in!

The Tasting Triana Food Tour from We Love Tapas had EVERYTHING we were looking for! Four stops in a unique neighborhood of Seville, with an amazing local tour guide. Our guide, Shawn, had a wealth of knowledge about Seville and showed us the gems of Triana, a neighborhood of Seville, across the Canal De Alfonso X111.

Follow along as we take you through the best of Triana on a unique Seville food tour!

Mercado de Triana

Our first stop on the best of Triana tour is Mercado de Triana! I love when tours start with a market. Markets are the perfect place to learn about what foods are native to the city/ country you are in and you get to taste little bites along the way! Shawn took us through the market and introduced us to a few of her favorite stalls and their owners. We sampled Iberico ham, Manchego cheese and sherry, while learning a little bit about the history of the market. It was the perfect place to start our tour!

Las Golondrinas

After the market, Shawn took us on a tour of the ceramic district in Triana! We learned so much about ceramics and tiles on the buildings. We would have never thought to explore this area or know so much abut it, had it not been for this tour!

Right in the heart of the ceramic district, is Las Golondrinas. Las Golondrinas is an absolutely beautiful restaurant, filled with tiles and ceramics everywhere! Shawn is definitely a regular at every place we stopped at and knows all the people who work there. The best part about that is she knows exactly what to order. She ordered us some delicious grilled mushrooms with parsley aioli and grilled pork sandwiches to try. And they were both so good!! The pork sandwiches are so simple, yet probably the best thing we ate on the tour!

Bar Casa Ruperto

Our third stop was at Bar Casa Ruperto. We were not sure about this place, because it was on a random street and wasn't the most appealing to look at. But, being good tour goers, we trusted our guide. And good thing we did! Shawn surprised us at this restaurant and wouldn't tell us what we would be trying. We were convinced it was frog legs when she first brought it out, but were happily surprised to find quail in front of us! It was so tender and juicy and delicious!

Another great reason to do a food tour is you go to places you would never try on your own! We would have never stepped foot in this restaurant, had it not been for Shawn. That would have been a shame, because then we would have never discovered the hidden gem of Bar Casa Ruperto and its delicious quail!

Alfareria 21

The last stop on the best of Triana food tour was at Alfareria 21. Shawn saved the best for last. This restaurant is so beautiful on the outside and inside! And even more beautiful was the food! Shawn ordered us three amazing dishes: cured payoyo cheese with rosemary, prawn and pecorino fritos with soy mayo and Iberian braised pork cheek with couscous. We enjoyed every bite, as Shawn told us all the best places to visit and eat at before we left Seville.

The Tasting Triana food tour is the best Seville food tour you are going to find! Shawn will show you the best of Triana and give you so much history about Seville. Its definitely worth every penny. So, next time you plan a trip to Seville, make sure to book this tour!!
