Carlsbad Coffee Shops
Baba Coffee
Baba Coffee is a unique, gem of a place! I had the pleasure of meeting Rob, the owner, the other day, who told me all about his adorable coffee shop and the plans for expansion. Baba, not to be confused with Boba, was named after Baba Budan who is said to be the great smuggler who brought coffee to India. Lots of people were actually convinced that this coffee shops name was Boba, after the milk tea drinks, so much so that they were said to be the number one place in Carlsbad for Boba tea, even though they didn't sell it! Rob decided to give the people what the want and now serves boba milk teas.
Rob has plans to expand Baba by opening up the space above the coffee shop! He wants to create a unique space for everyone to come an hangout. The space will feature a prominent bar with outdoor seating and a space for live music!
The coffee shop not only serves the freshest coffee beverages, but also cold brew iced tea! One of my favorite beverages from them is the cold brewed green tea, which has an intense amount of flavor and the smoothest tea you will ever drink. They also serve food, beer and wine!
If you can't tell, Baba is one of my favorite Carlsbad Coffee Shops!
